The salespeople would probably start their sales pitch with “Mr. Jones if I can show you how you can increase your productivity to almost perfection for a fraction of what you are currently paying your employees would you be interested in meeting with me?

The skeptical business owner says “How much will it cost?”

The salesperson replies “well if you have twenty employees it would cost about $20,000.”

The business owner doesn’t understand what the salesperson is selling and thinks he can’t afford $20,000 so he says what he knows will get rid of the salesperson - ”Our staff is so efficient I don’t need what you’ve got.”

The problem we human beings have is we don’t want to take the time to listen to a salesperson because we are too busy and don’t understand the value of the investment of the product or service.

We miss out on many inventions or opportunities until it has become so popularized that everyone is taking advantage of it before we finally take a look at it.

They will think it’s too complex. A landscaper will say they have to send an estimator out to the house to make a bid and refuse to believe people can order on the internet.

Meanwhile, people will do their own measuring, go online with a landscaper that has a website set up to order online. The customer will see photos for ideas then click each plant, rock and square foot of concrete online and get his price.

What business owners of today need to do is ask “Is it impossible?” if it’s not impossible be assured it will be online.

The only difference is the progressive business owners that gear up now will begin capitalizing on massive sales each time they sit down to the computer.

The skeptical business owners will wait 5-8 years until it becomes common practice before they begin capitalizing on it.

2. Set up your salespeople to garner more sales now until the future buying habits of the human race dramatically reduce the need for a salesperson

Until buyers get accustomed to purchasing the majority of their products and services on the internet salespeople will still be very involved in the sale.
